First-time traveler’s tales and tips from Tokyo.

My Story

Hello friends and fellow Gaijins! My name is Isabel I’m a twenty-three-year-old living in Melbourne Australia. I have always had a passion learning about other cultures and I finally had the opportunity to travel for the first time overseas in Tokyo. When my boyfriend suggested Tokyo as a possible destination to visit for our first overseas trip together, I was a little apprehensive. I had never travelled outside Australia and didn’t speak any Japanese. I didn’t know if I could handle the chaos of a big city like Tokyo and the cultural differences. However, I was very surprised at how much I loved Tokyo and Japan. It was an eye-opening experience and a memory I’ll always cherish. The purpose of this blog is to help other travellers in Tokyo gain confidence traveling particularly if you’re a beginner and also just to share some of the fun adventures and recommendations I have.

Japan can be a daunting place to travel let alone if you are a beginner traveller. So, I want to help you make your trip go smoothly and hopefully create memories you will also cherish.
